Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information swastore.in collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
1. Who is responsible for your data
SwaStore operates swastore.in and is the data fiduciary for the personal information collected through it. Our registered contact address is Dasabatia, Baramundali, Machhagaon, Jagatsinghpur, Odisha 754119, India and you can reach us at care@swastore.in.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number and billing address when you create an account or place an order; the content of any message you send through our contact form or by email; and your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.
Information collected automatically. Your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This is standard web-server and analytics data.
Order information. What you bought, the amount paid, the currency, the transaction reference returned by the payment gateway, and the download history on your account.
3. What we do not collect
We do not collect or store your full card number, card expiry, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials. Payments are processed entirely by our payment gateway partner on their own systems. All we receive back is a success or failure result, a transaction reference, and the last few digits or masked identifier of the instrument used.
4. Why we use it
We use your information to process and deliver your orders, to give you access to your downloads, to issue invoices, to answer support requests, to prevent fraud and abuse, to meet our legal and tax obligations, and — only if you have opted in — to send occasional product news. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
5. Cookies
This website uses cookies. Strictly necessary cookies keep you logged in and remember the contents of your cart — the site cannot work without them. Functional cookies remember preferences such as recently viewed products. Analytics cookies help us understand which pages are useful.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. If you block strictly necessary cookies, checkout and your account area will not work.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the store, and only to the extent they need it:
- our payment gateway, to process your payment;
- our web hosting provider, which stores the website and its database;
- our email delivery service, which sends order and support emails;
- our analytics provider, in aggregated or pseudonymised form;
- professional advisers, and any authority we are legally required to disclose information to.
7. Where your data is stored
Our website and database are hosted on servers operated by our hosting provider. Some of our service providers may process data outside India. Where that happens we rely on the provider’s contractual commitments to protect your information to a standard comparable with Indian law.
8. How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for eight years to meet Indian accounting and tax requirements. Account details are kept for as long as your account is open. Support emails are kept for two years. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a short rolling period, typically no more than 90 days.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, to delete your account, to stop sending you marketing, or to give you a copy of your data in a portable format. Email care@swastore.in and we will respond within 30 days.
Deleting your account will also remove your access to past downloads, so please save your files first. We may still need to retain invoice records where the law requires it.
10. Security
The whole site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in readable form. Access to the store’s admin area is limited to authorised people. No system is completely secure, but if a breach ever affects your personal data we will tell you and the relevant authority without undue delay.
11. Children
This website is not intended for children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be announced on the website.
13. Grievance officer
Under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, any complaint about how your personal data has been handled may be sent to the contact address below. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
